A Couple of things We Reading & Looking & Thinking About ... May 1, 2010

Reading an article over on Ynot about Peter North returning after years hiatus. I didn't know he had gone anywhere. Besides his own companies, he has a deal in the works with Pure Play Media which gives him a new distribution channel. North Pole Enterprises is alive and well. Not so sure about his distribution company Northstar Associates since the deal with Pure Play Media.

Also reading how the Adult Industry is producing PSA's for Youtube telling people how they should not steal intellectual property. You know how awful it is for someone to illegally download Not Really the Blahblahs. And my God, do you know how much time the Adult Industry put into designing fucking. Wow, if it was not for them, there would be no such thing as putting that cock into the vagina and who would have thought to shove that dick into the ass and it was pure patentable rocket science when they came up with putting that cock in the mouth.

Please do not misunderstand. I am not suggesting it is okay not to pay for content or to post more than what might be considered fair use on fan sites. As a rule, more than a minute will bring a take down notice if it not part of an advertisement back to the content.

What I am saying is the Industry would have less problems if they bothered to pay for scripts, gave their actors some acting lessons, and improved the production quality of their product. The Industry would have less problems if they themselves had behaved better in the past and gave customers assurance they do behave better now. That means don't put a shit load of commercials and in some cases malware on DVD's and sites. Do not go insane trying to cross promote sites. Do not share customer information. Do not use evil dialer programs.

People are basically honest. That is when they feel they are dealing with honest people.

Surmon over. Jumping off my soap box. Thrusting my arms about and trying to dance. Okay, enough of that.

Someone has been developing a "Social Platform" for Strip Clubs and Exotic Dancers worldwide. The article compares it to facebook. God, I so fucking hate Facebook. In the early days I liked myspace and I like Twitter since it is a good way to do quick post and to connect with new people. Facebook, I just don't get its appeal. So anyway, somone is putting a social network together for dancers and I would guess their fans. I can hear the dancers now, "geeeez, I gave the him a lapdance. Now I am sharing recipes with his wife. At least for the lap dance I got paid." Course the theory with social networking is that it does lead to customers and hell, who knows, she may end up giving the wife a lap dance while they share cooking tips. Errrrr. Whatever. Course we all know what is more likely to happen since Social Networks are not all together social but I choose not to go there in thought.
